Virginia Ukrop’s products affected by cucumber recall
RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Ukrop’s is recalling three of its products related to a cucumber recall that has affected 15 states across the country.
According to the CDC, the cucumbers were grown by Bedner Growers and distributed by Fresh Start Produce between April 29 and May 19.
At least 26 people have gotten sick in 15 states, including here in Virginia.
Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods is recalling three of its products that use Bedner Growers’ cucumbers due to the potential of Salmonella.

Ukrop’s says no other Homestyle Foods were impacted.
The recalled products were sold at the following retailers:
- Food Lion Stores in Virginia, North Carolina
- Harris Teeter, Williamsburg
- Kroger Stores in Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee
- Libbie Market, Richmond
- Ukrop’s Market Hall, Richmond

All retail locations are removing the products from the shelves and anyone who bought the cucumber salads should return it where they bought it for a full refund.
