FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Police are asking for the public’s help to identify five suspects accused of stealing $7,000 worth of electronics from a Fredericksburg Walmart.

The larceny occurred at the Central Park Walmart located at 1800 Carl D. Silvery Parkway on Saturday, January 20 at 7:15 a.m.

Four of the suspects were captured on cell phone video, loading the stolen merchandise into a minivan. The fifth suspect was the getaway driver, according to police.

A minivan with no license plates was parked on the sidewalk in between the store and outdoor center. Police say toting TV's and other electronics; the suspects start loading without looking back.

"They did leave without paying,” said Amie Lynch, a spokesperson for Fredericksburg Police. “The investigation is ongoing. We are hopeful that we will get the identity of these suspects."

Police say the individuals stole multiple electronic devices totaling more than $7,000.

"I can't believe that someone would be so brazen,” said Susie Satterwaite, who was shopping at the store Tuesday.

Police also said a new law that went into effect January 1, may be their biggest clue. "We were informed that the state inspection center was new and over to the left, which means they are most likely Virginia residents," said Lynch.

If you can identify the suspects, call the police at 540-373-3122. To make an anonymous tip, send a text to “847-411” and text “FPDtip” followed by your tip.
