New transport An-132D built in Ukraine under order of Saudi Arabia to debut at Le Bourget 2017

An-132D multipurpose plane-demonstrator built in Ukraine as part international cooperation will be first presented to mainstream international audience at the 52nd Le Bourget 2017 Air Show to take place in Paris on June 19 through June 25.

The press service of Antonov State Enterprise reported on Tuesday that new An-132D will take part in the demonstration program of the show and will be exhibited to potential buyers at the planeside.

An-132D multipurpose plane-demonstrator with a carrying capacity of 9.2 tonnes is modification of light transport An-32 aimed to replace An-32 and An-26 on the market.

Antonov is implementing the program under a contract signed in April 2015 with Saudi Arabia's King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and Taqnia Aeronautics Co. The plane is being built with participation of leading western manufacturers: Pratt & Whitney Canada, CMC Electronics (Canada), U.S. Honeywell, France's Liebherr and Britain's Dowty Propellers.

The assembly of the plane-demonstrator was finished at Antonov's facilities in December 2016. In March 2016, the plane successfully completed its first flight.
