Man’s ex wife takes dog from his home while he’s out of town

Expensive trash. The manager of an apartment complex in the 10100 block of Station Way in unincorporated Douglas County called police Aug. 13 because three men were caught discarding a TV at the community dumpster. A security camera recorded the men pulling up in a silver minivan around 4 p.m. It took all three of them them to lift the old TV out of the car, and  they left it on the ground before fleeing. The manager said it would cost $75 to have the TV hauled away.

Ex steals dog. A man called police Sept. 3 because he said he received an email from his ex wife while he was out of town, stating that she had gone to his home in the 11300 block of Bell Cross Circle, Parker and taken his dog. The suspect wrote that, since the man is never home, the dog would be better off with her. An officer went to her house and explained that the dog is not hers to keep, and she agreed to return it.

Drive-by cone swipe. A witness saw a suspicious Volkswagen Golf pull up to a construction site in the 2200 block of West Hyacinth Road, Highlands Ranch,  Aug. 30. They said someone inside reached out and pulled a construction pylon into the car and then drove off.

Missing troublemaker. Police were called to the 9300 block of Dorchester Street, Highlands Ranch, Aug. 23 because a man was harassing three other people near a shopping center. The suspect took off before police arrived.
